Noteworthy Cricut Imagine Style

I wanted to make a 3D project that would show off the versatility of the Cricut Imagine.  I wanted it to be a project you would want to make without saying :  I can't do that, I don't have that cartridge.

I know Cricut Imagine Imagine More cart came with the machine.  So here is what I did:

front cover of notepad
I used a mini note pad I bought over at Office Depot.

Here is what you do:
You are going to take a 12 x 12 piece of white paper (I am using Bazzil from HSN.com).  Flood fill the entire page (I use over spray on high) and a pattern from the Imagine More (or any cart your choose).  As you can see I used the sheet music.
Now using the scor-pal buddy score your page at 8.  Then cut using a paper cutter on that score line.
So now your paper measures 8" x 12".
Put the paper back in the scor-pal buddy and score at 1, 1 1/4, 6, 61/4.  Then fold on the lines.
The side scored at 1 will be on your right hand side.  So if you are using a pattern paper make sure the paper will be correct when you fold it.
You will need a piece of paper (I used black)  that measures 6 1/2" x 8".  Score at 1/4" and at 6".
Then measuring about 3" down from the top you will make a slit (this is so you can insert the cardboard piece of the note pad)  I placed my paper cutter blade at the 1/4" and brought it over to the 6".
Now using a double sided tape.  I use the tape available on the scor-pal site.  I put this on the 1/4" side of the black paper and on the fold that your scored at 6".  This gives you 1/4" on each side.  This goes inside the folder and fit nice on the side that cover the sides of the note pad.
you can see where I taped the black paper that hides the cardboard of the notepad.

To cover the notepad you take a piece from the scrap of the main cover.  I took the paper and measured it over the notepad.  Then I cut it to fit the width of the notepad, used my scor-pal buddy to score the lines.
Using the double sided tape I put that on the top of the notepad, then covered with the paper.  Now my notepad had a nice coordinating top.
I added a ribbon at the 4" across or in the middle of the notepad cover so that I could tie the notebook.
Ribbon at the 1/2 way mark.  Then I took an icon from the Imagine More Cart.
I took an icon from the Imagine More Cart and cut it out in layers at 4 rel.  For the bottom layer I ran it thru my Xyron machine and put that on top of the ribbon.  I did the same thing for the second layer which is the blue layer.  The Top Five and 1,2,3,4,5 pieces I used 3M foam double sided tape this creates dimension.
Note that the title and the -5 are attached with 3M double sided foam tape.

This is a fast easy quick project.  Inexpensive and a nice gift for co-workers, teachers, anyone you want to give a little gift.  You could use them as Thank you hostess gifts, etc.  Try this, enjoy and don't forget to leave me a comment.
