This weeks Challenge #9: BLACK FRIDAY Challenge

This week's Weekly Challenge #9 is the Black Friday Challenge!  I had just the project in mind.

Alright . . . so who’s out shopping this morning?! Me? I have never been brave enough to face the Black Friday crowds. However, we thought it would be fun to give our Weekly Challenge a “Black Friday” twist! Here’s what we want you to do this week . . . Include the color black in your project AND recycle or re- purpose something.

From the Dollar Tree, it held Cotton Swabs and cotton balls
I started with this plastic container that once help cotton swabs and cotton balls.  It came from the Dollar Tree awhile back.

Bloom Cartridge, scrap of black punched out with SU scalloped punch and a piece of scrap black/white ribbon.

I used my CI and the Bloom Cart to do the print.  I used No over spray, and made a 12 x12 piece of paper.
I had some black paper scraps which I punched with my Stampin Up scalloped punch and this piece of left over ribbon.
A new tool caddy
With a little double stick tape, I adhered the paper to the caddy, trimmed it with the black and the ribbon.  Then I cut the scallop from the basic shapes on the CI, the middle circle from shapes on the CI and since the background pattern paper had birds sprinkled here and there, I found this cute little bird on a regular cricut cart called Winter Woodland.  I used my CI and Bloom cart to do the bird in layers and added a rhinestone for the bird's eye.  Here is the close up of that:
